Biography

Rania assists Attorney Bousfiha in preparing asylum applications and filing inquires to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration services. Rania enjoys learning about the clients’ journey and culture, and appreciates hearing all the little details in a client’s story. Her goal is to ensure that all clients feel supported and she is determined to give them all the help they need to achieve their goals as well.

Rania is a rising third year law student from New York Law School. At New York Law School, she is on the Dean’s Leadership Council (reserved for the top 25% of the class), Treasurer for the Albanian Law Student Association, and Co-Founder/President for the Middle Eastern/North African Law Student Association. She has previous experience working with domestic violence survivors, Civil Court as a judicial intern, Torts teaching assistant, and estate planning and litigation. She is also the Student Ambassador for the New York City Bar Association and a member of the Muslim Bar Association. This summer, she is continuing her work in estate litigation and working with Attorney Bousfiha in immigration law.

Rania’s interests include immigration law, family law, transactional work, and estate planning. Her interest in immigration law sparked given her background as an Egyptian-American, where as a first-generational student, she had to help her immigrant family navigate through all the hardships. Later on her work at the ASIYAH Women’s Center, the first domestic violence center for Muslims in New York City, she learned that despite being able to relate to all the hardships and struggles, everyone has a unique journey and deserves to be supported through out. This peaked her interest in law. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, exploring cultures, and giving back to the community.
